Community Guidelines

Understand the values of the “Bounty Box” Digital Agrihood. We foster a safe, respectful community for CSA members, farmers, organizers, and educators.

These guidelines apply to everything you share in Bounty from the Box: The Digital Agrihood (“Bounty Box”)—comments, posts, photos, audio, video, and any other content on our website and related community spaces. By participating here, you’re agreeing to follow these rules and to our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

1. Be kind and food-focused. This community exists to support seasonal cooking, CSA boxes, and local food, so keep your contributions respectful, welcoming, and on topic.
2. No hate, harassment, or discrimination. We do not allow bullying, threats, targeted harassment, or content that attacks or demeans people based on identity, beliefs, or personal characteristics.
3. Keep it legal and safe. Do not share anything that promotes or depicts illegal activity, self-harm, violence, or anything that could reasonably put others at risk.
4. Avoid political and religious debates. To keep this a safe, food-first space for everyone, we do not host political campaigning, partisan arguments, or proselytizing of any religion.
5. Protect your privacy and others’. Do not post personal contact details (addresses, phone numbers, emails, exact locations) or sensitive information about yourself or anyone else, especially minors.
6. Use only content you have the right to share. Share only photos, videos, recipes, and other materials you created or have permission to use, and do not upload professional images or media that belong to others without clear rights..
7. No spam, ads, or unsolicited promotions. Repetitive posts, mass messaging, affiliate links, fundraising, or advertising your products or services are not allowed unless we have given written permission.
8. Be honest and do not impersonate anyone. Do not pretend to be someone else, create deceptive profiles, or share knowingly false or misleading information, especially about health, safety, or other people.
9. Keep language clear, non-explicit, and inclusive. Avoid slurs, explicit sexual content, graphic imagery, or coded messages that could reasonably be interpreted as harmful, exclusionary, or abusive.
10. Do not share harmful code or technical abuse. Never post links, files, or scripts that contain malware, phishing, or attempts to disrupt the site, harvest data, or interfere with others’ use of the community.
11. Understand how moderation works here. We may use a mix of human and automated tools to review content, and we reserve the right to edit, move, or remove any post and to warn, limit, or suspend accounts that break these guidelines.
12. Know that your contributions can be reused. By posting in the Digital Agrihood, you grant Bounty from the Box and its affiliates permission to use, adapt, and share your content (with attribution when reasonable) across our platforms, without additional compensation.
13. Remember: this is educational, not professional advice. Information shared here—including recipes, nutrition tips, and any health-related comments—is for general education only and is not a substitute for medical, legal, financial, or professional advice; always consult a qualified provider when needed.
14. If you see something concerning, please report it. If you encounter content or behavior that appears to violate these guidelines or makes the space feel unsafe, let us know so our team can review and respond as appropriate.
15. These guidelines may evolve as the Digital Agrihood grows. We may update these rules over time to reflect best practices, legal requirements, and the needs of our community, and your continued use of the site means you accept those changes.
