We created 180° Farm as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization in beautiful Coweta County, Georgia. We believe this is a way to minister to the needs of the community, through education and providing “clean, natural” food.
My wife and I purchased property in Sharpsburg, Georgia seven years ago. We had envisioned building a house and starting a small farm. Soon after the purchase my son Mason was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma, a childhood form of cancer.
As Mason’s cancer became non-progressive, we realized we needed to do more than just grow good food for ourselves. We wanted to produce for the local community, healthy, organic, “clean foods” that did not contain pesticides, herbicides, hormones or antibiotics.
We felt led to do something more than just grow food, but to give a helping hand up to those in need. We believe in giving organically grown foods to the local food ministries and food banks, but just as important, teaching about food awareness, nutrition, and how to grow food organically.
Thanks to critical partnerships with UNFI, CTCA of Newnan, and local churches & food banks, we’ve been able to expand our reach to those who are sick and/or impoverished locally and beyond.
