Oregon BioDynamics Group

In addition to the broader mission of biodynamic agriculture, the mission of the Oregon Biodynamic group is threefold:

1. The group’s primary mission is to make high-quality biodynamic preps to help heal the earth and humanity. We make these preparations available to anybody for purchase.

2. Secondly, we strive to educate ourselves and the broader community by sponsoring conferences, hosting open houses, studying together, and networking with and supporting other groups that have similar missions.

3. Thirdly, we actively grow and nourish a community; the rhythmical, meaningful work we undertake in our yearly cycle of meetings builds and strengthens friendships and helps foster the growth of biodynamics across space and through time.

Our Goals:

– Make quality BD preparations annually

– Store and distribute preparations regionally

– Provide educational opportunities for people to learn more about biodynamics

– Network with and support other BD groups

– Continually train one another so that the group’s success is not overly dependent on a small number of experienced individuals

Dock To Dish

Dock To Dish

Welcome to Dock to Dish, Long Island’s original Community and Restaurant Supported Fishery, headquartered in Montauk, New York.

The program was founded by lifelong fisherman and restaurateur Sean Barrett, along with over forty-two participating local commercial fishermen and shellfish harvesters. This alliance of tradesmen and artisans share over five hundred years of experience on the water and believe the best way to eat seafood is the way it had historically been done—when the “catch of the day” was really caught that day—or as close to that day as possible. It harkens back to the times of colonial concierge fishermen, who brought their haul straight from the docks to the back doors of restaurants, which served the fish that night: an experience Sean had at a coastal village in Spain that has tugged at him for years. “We can do that here,” he thought. “We can be the salt water brother of Farm to Table.”

And now with the help of trusted neighbors in the fields of health, law and environmental conservation—Dock to Dish has become uniquely qualified in providing their members with impeccably fresh seafood harvested with the consumer and the planet in mind.
